5 signs of an ant infestation in your Tingalpa home:

1.Spotting ants walking inside or outside your home or dwelling.

Live ants are the first sign of an ant infestation. If you find ants outside your Tingalpa home, it doesn't take long for these tiny pests to find their way inside. If you notice more ants than you normally encounter in your garden, including large mounds and large ant colonies congregating outside, you're probably dealing with an infestation... These large outdoor ant colonies will eventually appear in your home, so it's important to get rid of the ant colonies before they decide to relocate.

2. Coming across an ant trail.

When ants roam your home on a trail, they are most likely following a pheromone trail to a food source that has been found. Unless you treat the ants in a way that makes them return to the colony, it will be very difficult to prevent them from finding the source.

3. Finding ant mounds outside your home.

As mentioned earlier, if you find a lot of ants outside your home, more than a few, chances are you are dealing with an ant infestation. Large and small mounds with ants might not seem like a big deal since they're outside, but that means there could be hundreds or even thousands below the surface just waiting for you to enter the house. changes in weather, air pressure and more.

4. Seeing ants swarming your food.

Ants are not picky eaters! Availability of food is a big target for ants, which is a big sign that your home is infected. Keeping your home clean is the best way to prevent ants from returning.

5. Insect wings on the floor, on window ledges, or close to outdoor entrances.

Many sources will claim that seeing aged ants in the dust and debris of your Tingalpa home is a sign of an ant infestation. However, it is more likely that you are dealing with termites. Usually between November and December or when humidity is high, termite colony queens fly in search of a new location where the colony can thrive. Their old wings are then discarded which you might find in your home. Don't confuse them with ants! However, that doesn't necessarily mean you're still dealing with a termite infestation. If you are ever in doubt if you are dealing with ants or termites, contact our team for a termite inspection.
